Covid-19 Procedures Updated 2021-04-28
Our priorities are the health and safety of our clients, community and contributing to the fight against COVID-19. Please read the following procedures. Feel free to call (778 679 1423) if you have any questions or comments. Thank you and we are looking forward to paddling with you in a safe and enjoyable way for all.
If you are using South Island SUP gear, it will be set out on the grass or beach ready for your use upon your arrival. If you need anything else (e.g. drysuit, boots, gloves, flashlight), please add to your booking so we can have it ready for you.
Please maintain 3m physical distance from anyone not from your household. Please avoid parking, launching or congregating around others and avoid congregating around the South Island SUP vehicle.
Gear will be cleaned and sanitized between uses with an environmentally safe product.
You may however want to wear gloves as a further precaution if using/renting South Island SUP gear. Bring your personal hand sanitizer from home for after the paddle or wait until you are able to wash your hands with soap and water before eating and/or touching your face. There will be hand sanitizer available on site as well.
**On the Water**
It is usually easy to maintain 3m physical distance. We recommend thinking of it as staying a board length apart (3-4m) but no more than a 100m apart to maintain our safety on the water. If there is low light, fog, wind and/or boat traffic the maximum distance apart will be modified to a safe distance by your guides.
**Before you Participate in a Group Activity**
Please cancel or reschedule your booking if you answer yes to any of the following questions.
Are you experiencing any of the following symptoms with unknown cause?
-fever or chills
-loss of sense of smell or taste
-loss of appetite
-nausea or vomiting
Have you had contact with any person with, or under investigation for, COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
Have you or anyone from your household travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days?
